80s Halloween Party
As promised, here are the 80s kids... :) We were asked to wear anything from the 80s, including cartoon characters :-)
Search for the leader of the Misfits (from Jem & the Holograms), the Hairspray ladies, and the classic Assumption gradeschool student with her backpack without her sundo, hehe. Late 80s = Grade 1.
Look for GI Joe! :-D
Rock Star and his 80s Groupie.
I personally wanted to be "Lala Orange" (from Rainbow Brite) because of obvious reasons but I wasn't able to get an orange wig and a pair of orange slippers. I actually made my orange stars for Lala Orange's beret and coat! I can still be Lala Orange next year!
So anyway, I just wore what looked 80s to me. Since Franco wore his ROCK STAR costume (courtesy of his brother, Vic, who's a glam rocker dude), I looked like his groupie. :-p If you look closely at my shirt, it says "Sell out tour". And if you get to see the part of my shirt which got covered by this bright orange garment, it actually has 1980 printed on it! ;-) I take Halloween seriously! haha.
We traversed heavy traffic for this party and it was all worth it! :-) FUN FUN. Thanks to Patty & Ales!
Hope everyone had Happy Halloweeeeens! :)

It's back to school for me! It's amazing what 2 weeks can do! I felt that my students have grown taller and most of them can now READ. :D This is one of those days that makes me feel fulfilled in a way. :-) I'm HAPPY to see children enjoy books so much! Although I still want to discover so much more about the world in other ways, it's also fulfilling to witness small changes. Knowing that I take part in such small yet great changes is affirmation that I'm doing something right. :)

Speaking of learning more about the world, there's something that I've always wanted to do but it's only recently that I've been taking shots at it -- writing and being published. I have to thank Cat for this. :-) With writing, I learn a lot of other things beyond my original field and I love every second of it!
